I have created a lot of package designs. Before starting my design, I do market research, estimate and calculate cost and look at potential customers. This is the business aspect of my work which I also enjoy.
Can Coffee & Chilled Cup

I made many designs and asked my colleagues to vote which one was the most effective design to express non-sugar coffee. I researched the coffee market, chilled cup, and competitors. By this design process, I began thinking logically about the market.

    
Donburi Udon

By this project, I learned how to promote an  item which is not so known in the market. I researched competitors but there were none that  tasted like our product. Therefore, I thought I must express easily what it is and how it tastes.

We needed to attract more consumers by changig the package design. The main customers were over 50th but to get higher sales, I tried to creat this package design to attract younger generation as well as existing customers by changing the typography, colors and the name of the beverage.

Package Design

Soba (chicken flavor)

 

Soba is alos popular noodle in Japan. This product is bought by a wide number of generations.  Therefore, the design should be standard and stylish at the same time.

      

Soup Harusame

 

This noodle, Harusame, can be both main dish and side dish. The calorie is low so harusame is popular among women.

I put the numbers of calories larger than previous design to get more attention from customers who care health. I put a line at the center to remark copy for the goods. 

 

      
Corn Potage flavor snack 
 

I tried to give some ideas about this flavor and texture through package. The strong points of this snack are “lower price” and “quantity” . By creating the typographies, photographs and colors, I tried to express the characteristics.

The sales went more than double with this new package design.

The existing customers were mostly around 50th. I tried to create a package design to attract customers between 20th and 40th. I create this packages which customers could distiguish each flavor easily.
